Sounds better than the previous...
I had a Fender MIM jazz bass and i put those pickups and the sound is magnificent! Really noiseless and high performance...

No need for shielding!
These are amazing and my only gripe is that they are a little expensive but they have really improved the sound of my Mexican Jazz and given it more brightness and clarity of tone

Super agressive
They are noiseless. Almost active electronics level clarity and bite. If you prefer a jazz tone youd need to abuse your tone pot otherwise top pickups.
