EV PL 35

I bought these for close-micing toms in my studio. They never sounded bad as such, but I also never got results as good as with almost any other mics I had at hand. It's like they had a slow dynamic response and a weird frequency response, drums always sounded more lively in the room than through the mics.

I don't own them anymore as I sold them to a local live engineer, who also wasn't super enthusiastic about them, but also never had problems with them.

They didn't light my world on fire, but they do the job, are built to last and functioned perfectly the few years I had them. I replaced them with Sennheiser e904's, which I much preferred.
