Fantastic guitar, but the factory setup lets it down
The guitar feels great to play, looks absolutely fantastic and comes with an impressive set of specs for the price. The Fishman Fluence pickups in particular are a big plus and give it plenty of versatility for modern rock and metal.
That said, there were two disappointing details straight out of the box. First, the guitar came without a battery for the active pickups, so my unboxing excitement came to a rather abrupt stop when I realised I couldn't actually plug it in and play it straight away. For a guitar at this price point, including a battery would have been a very small but appreciated detail.
Secondly, the factory setup had the action much higher than I like. Of course, action is partly personal preference and can be adjusted, but I expected a slightly better setup out of the box.
Overall, though, it is a great-looking, great-feeling guitar with excellent features. Once properly set up, there is a lot to like here. 4/5 from me. 🎸
