Die Gitarre ist wunderschön verarbeitet und nach geringfügigen Feinjustierungen an der Saitenlage und dem Neck Pickup super spielbar. Ich habe sie mit meiner Gibson Les Paul 50 Standart Ebony, mit den verschiedenen Sounds direkt verglichen. Beim unverstärkten Anschlag der Saiten klingt die Gibson satter und verstärkt meist eine Nuance wärmer als die Epiphone. Haptisch und vom Spielgefühl sind jedoch beide Instrumente sehr ähnlich. Wenn man die die Kabelfächer betrachtet ist die Fräsung der Epiphone sogar wesentlich besser verarbeitet und sogar lackiert. Die der Gibson sind leicht ausgefranst.
Meine Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s Goldtop wurde 2025-08 produziert. Ich kann diese Gitarre nur wärmstens empfehlen.
