Elixir 12050 Polyweb Light

The tone sounds a bit 'dead' to me (a well known problem with coated strings). I prefer the optiweb strings from Elixir

My experience with Elixir until this purchase, after a week the High E broke somewhere in the headstock without any contact.

Good protection against corrosion, the coating doesn’t flake off and last a long time.
On the other hand they don’t sound very good, like there ‘s a plastic coat over the metal.
But what I don’t like at all is that they are so slinky they offer no grip at all, if you sweat the strings will slip under your fingers.
I just can’t play them because of that.
They offer a great protection, but their sound really suffers.
Cleartone treated strings are far superior in sound and feel.
