A necessary spare part

If You play with a pedal that uses a chain, there's a chance it'll break (it's the small metal plate part, which joins the pedal and the chain together, that snaps in half), so a spare chain can never be useless. You never know when You're going to need it.

Bought this one for my PDP DP402 Bass Pedal after the chain broke, and this DW spare chain fits really well as it should with other PDP pedals (PDP is owned by DW by the way).

I only bought it for the small adjustments that I had lost somewhere back in the days. It is a bit silly having to buy the entire chain for that but it is what it is.

Cadena para pedales DW

Es una cadena robusta, bien engrasada, bien embalada y con una imagen de presentación muy elegante.

En mi caso compre la cadena por que no venden por separado la pieza que une la cadena con el mecanismo del pedal, por lo que tener que comprar una cadena de casi 20€ por una pequeña pieza,... no solo me parece abusivo, si no que ademas cabe decir que el coste de fabricación de dicha cadena no supera 0,45 € el Kilo!! o 1€ el metro si es de máxima calidad. ( sin embalaje ni transporte ).

No es un gran producto si comparamos calidad precio, pero como a muchos usuarios de DW no queda mas que pasar por el aro.

Die Kette kommt in einer kompakten eingeschweißten Verpackung, mit neuem Sicherungsring.

Wechseln lässt sich die Kette wirklich relativ leicht, da hat sich DW wirklich mal was schönes überlegt. Ich nutze eine Doppelfußmaschine der 5000er Serie. Ob man die Kette für Slave oder Master Pedal nutzen will ist beim Kauf egal.

Ich kann jetzt nicht sagen dass ich diese Kette gerne wieder kaufen würde, denn das würde ja heißen, sie wäre schon wieder gerissen, aber wenn es soweit käme wüsste ich ja was ich brauche. ;-)
