to pick or to strum? both
i have a pretty big thumb, so it squeeze it too hard so I can't use it for longer than ~10 minutes. On the other hand tight fit means it really becomes a continuation of my own finger -- and it really convenient to play both chords and single string sections, almost like with the finger.
It sounds pretty close as 2mm thick dunlop ultex (at least for my ears, i'm just a beginner), but more convenient... If only it would be a little bit bigger to squeeze a little less...!

Saw Chas Chandler using one
Bought it to try out after I saw an old video of Chas Chandler using a thumb pick to play bass in the Animals. Works fine, but I'm sticking to finger style.

Worth trying
Does what you expect,..but I quickly got rid of the thumb picks myself,...so my review is not really of much use to you i guess,..

Good quality
Pick is fine. Solid, comfortable does exactly as it should. If you want one, you could do much worse, however I’m just not connecting with a thumb pick like I thought I would. Back to strumming for me..!!

Not the best fit
I was looking forward to using this in my Thumb Picking Journey but the circular rim kept hurting my thumb after a short while.

fit can be an issue
These type of picks are a very personal choice. I just wanted to try out some new techniques but the pick really didn't suit.
My thumbs are just too big for the pick. But cost next to nothing so nothing lost.

It keeps right there
Well, nothing incredible but it keeps in place and lets the bass sounds come stronger. Another thing is the percussiveness it makes possible, for the technique of muting strings partially with the base of the hand.

These thumb picks vary in fit, even within the same size bracker (L). Some fit better than others, but they've become a real asset to my playing. You'd be amazed at the difference a correct fitting makes in terms of comfort when playing. It's worth your while finding one that fits well. But a few if you know your size.

It would be nice if it also came in a slightly larger size for those of us with bigger thumbs.
