Dunlop Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini

This is just wonderful. Instantly gives you late Hendrix tone (think Woodstock, Atlanta and Fillmore East gigs) - but is great for his earlier stuff too. In case you don't like or can't deal with all the problems that "real fuzz face" has, this is a perfect pedal.

Works brilliantly into clean-ish and dirty amp as well. Wah wah in front of it sounds wonderful too.

Compared to traditional fuzz face which is a different circuit, this does not clean up in such a nice way - at least to me it goes from "slight but noticeable fuzz" to completely clean in an instant, without that crunchy transition like many real fuzz faces have. I don't miss it in this pedal but maybe you can find combination of settings that does this too.

Only thing I would change is the bright blue LED - it gets annoying and I will either replace it for red one or cut it out.

Overall, I like this very much and it is going to stay on my pedalboard.

Wow! What can I say about this pedal. I have owned several fuzz pedals including the Big Muff and this is by far the best sounding one. If you want that typical Hendrix Band of Gypsys fuzz sound this is the one for you.

The pedal itself is built like a tank but is very small and fits nicely onto a pedal board. The sound cleans up very nicely as well! It does not have the same sustain some fuzz pedals have like the Big Muff but that wasn't what I was going for.

All in all, I couldn't recommend this pedal more!

Siempre quise tener un Fuzz y este es ha sido el primero, aunque he probado otros cuantos. En un local con buena insonorización se puede apreciar esa suciedad que a su vez es bonita y con garra (utilizo un Laney cub a válvulas y un Kustom antiguo a transistores).
Es de mis pedales preferidos y lo suelo usar con un volumen por debajo de la mitad para que no achicharre mucho y el botón de fuzz a más de la mitad, creo que he encontrado esa sinergia y es la que más me convence y mejor se adapta a lo que le pido.
La única pega que le pongo a este pedal sería la fabricación, la goma negra frontal deja un poco que desear debido a cómo está pegada (se ve un poco de pegamento aunque puede ser que haya sido mala suerte) y la parte de abajo del pedal se me ha despegado un par de veces al intentar despegar el pedal de la pedalera que tengo unido con velcro, quizás una tapa un poco más potente sería de agradecer en versiones posteriores.
En general creo que merece mucho la pena.
