Die Rare-Saiten liefern einen ungeschönten, ehrlichen Grundton – mit deutlich weniger „Glanz“ und brillanter Härte als moderne PB-Sätze. Sie klingen mittelwarm, aber mit einer griffigen Präsenz im Anschlag. Besonders auffällig:
- Obertonreich, ohne zu schimmern
- Der Tiefmittenbereich ist kompakt, nicht verwaschen
- Ideal für Mikrofonabnahme mit Fokus auf Korpus und Holzanteil

Auf der Hummingbird erzeugen die Rare-Saiten einen trockenen, mittigen Ton, der perfekt zum warmen, fokussierten Charakter der Gitarre passt. Sie nehmen dem Instrument etwas Brillanz, bringen dafür mehr Korpus und Anschlagskontur.

Im Studio liefern sie:
- Holzig-trockenen Grundton
- Weichen Höhenverlauf ohne Zischeln
- Perfekte Transienten für hochwertige Mikros

Das Spielgefühl ist straff, aber direkt. Nach kurzer Einspielzeit klingen sie vintage-natürlich, ideal für stilgerechte Indie/Folk/Americana -Mikrofonaufnahmen.

Fazit: Wer seine Hummingbird erdiger und mikrofreundlicher machen will, liegt mit den Rare-Saiten genau richtig.
