Probably best strings for me
I been playing these strings for around 2-3 months and it's been amazing, the string feels smooth so sliding to a note is very easy and considering that I play almost every single day for hours and they still feels and sound good, I recommend these to anyone who wants a long lasting, good sounding set of strings (who thinks that they are worth it).

Strings for harsh environment
These strings can live ½ year though the rough heat, dust, salt and occasionally wet climate in south-west Crete. They are easy to change and get in tune, stays well, take bends and sounds very close to non-coated strings. Actually I like the smoothness of the coating. Highly recommendable.

Lasting forever, great tone and feeling
Normal non-coated strings like Ernie Ball last a very short time for me, maybe it's my sweat being too aggressive. That means that either I would replace strings every couple of weeks on all my frequently used guitars, with a great expense of money and time, or I would have to accept to use old strings most of the time. I had tried some coated strings but I never liked the touch feeling and/or tone. After a recommendation from my luthier, I tried the Daddario XS: this ones are different, a real game changer!
They last forever, they feel great under the finger (the first 30 seconds after restringing they feel too slippery, but that goes away immediately leaving a great smooth feeling). And, they sound absolutely great! They cost a little more, but I end up saving money as I have to change them way less frequently.

Wow!
I used to always buy the cheapest strings I could find. Big mistake. The price difference is absolutely worth it in this case. A warmer, brighter sound, noticeably better string elasticity that makes playing more comfortable, and these strings will last two or even three times longer than the cheap ones without losing their qualities.

sound good feel good
Bought these to compare to Elixirs. not quite as good but still brilliant strings. they were quite a similar smooth feel, and sounded fresh for a long long time. They became dead quicker than my elixirs tend to be. And for this reason I am now using elixirs again. but I did like these strings! I'd deffo recommend these if you like coated strings.

For a long time now I was using coated strings and I was very happy with them. I saw Daddario XS on a local store and I thought I should give them a try. By far the best coated strings.

Incroyable
Cela fait maintenant quelques mois que je les utilise régulièrement et je ne pourrai plus passer à mes anciens jeux de cordes (ernie ball slinky). Tout y est : ultra agréable au toucher, plus de brillance et de précision, durabilité. Il y a une véritable différence de son audible quand la guitare est branchée. A noter par contre que je ne peux pas tenir six mois avec un jeu si la guitare est régulièrement utilisée, je les garde max 2-3 mois. Ce qui reste largement supérieur et économique par rapport à mes anciens jeux.

New favourite!
After years using EB I’ve decided to experiment a bit and see for myself what all the fuss was about with coated strings. D’Addario’s was at a friendly price, so I just thought what the hey.
You know how loads of folks online keep saying how the coated strings last way longer while retaining that fresh string sound and feel? Well, turns out they’re right! I used to change strings every 3-4 weeks, and now 3 months after the first swap on my semihollow and the strings are still all nice, bright, and shiny. Some people say they have slightly more tension than uncoated strings, but if tgey do it’s imperceptible imo. Now I’m using them in all my guitars, and don’t really see myself going back. While they *have* started peeling a tiny bit on the picking area, it’s really only an aesthetic that’s only a negative if you play with your face uncomfortably close to the pickups.
Definitely a more expensive way to go, but ends up being one of those things where it really does pay off. So unless you’re partial to that older string, slightly muffled sound, these are a fantastic option.
