Straight up chainsaw massacre
All the knobs at max and this thing can wake up the dead! Really loving it for what it is, a superb quality pedal for death metal riffs and guitar noises. Cannot get enough of it honestly

The re-release we've all been waiting for!
Made in Japan and built like a tank, this is the true Old School, Swedish Death Metal pedal, requested by fans of the genre for years.
The sound profile on Standard Mode is identical to the original pedal (when cranked on max), and the Custom mode just sounds a little bit more boosted to my ear, with fatter low end. Two things to consider though when using this pedal:
i) ALWAYS use a noise gate along with it, the pedal produces insane amounts of gain, especially paired with HHs made for extreme metal (tested on SD Nazgul passives), it's very noisy without one
ii) For my pet owner friends, your cat will hate you using this, there's some frequency produced that makes them run amok, unlike my normal amp sound . .

Perfect
The sandard mode is perfect. Didn' t like the custom one but it doesn't matter since the standard has you covered. Not only for chainsaw distortion. The box is massive as tank.

An icon...
I'm 50 years old, on September 1st this year.
I grew up listening to rock --> heavy metal --Y thrash metal --> death/grind/whatever metal.
My most beloved bands were Dismember, At the gates, Entombed... My main genre was "Swedish Death metal", and my favourite sound was produced by Boss HM2.
Didn't had the money to buy it in the first wave when it appeared some 35+ years ago, so I bought it now, to revive old memories.
No regrets - a real "chainsaw" experience!

Great pedal
Strong pedal which gives lots of weight to whatever you pass through it along with great EQ abilities
