I have no idea what the guys at boss were thinking when they designed this pedal... from zero to about 20% sweep the pedal does nothing. NOTHING. Then from 20% to 60% sweep it moves from zero volume to 100%... then from 60% to 100% it does nothing. Most of the sweep is wasted and you can't really get those cool swell effects as most of your foot movement does nothing.
Unless you want an on-off switch, buy a different pedal.
