Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator

I play in an acoustic duo and decided to try this with my Strat in leiu of my acoustic guitar with a Fishman soundhole pickup. Amazing, the AC-3 and Strat sound more "acoustic" than the real acoustic guitar. People do a double take when they see me playing the Strat, getting that full lush acoustic tone. I love it!! And the bonus is that leads are soo much easier to play on the Strat than on the acoustic!! I've been using it about a month now. Awesome!! It should be noted however that there is a slight hiss when playing through the AC-3 which can be quite annoying.

Solid and high quality manufacturing, as usual from Boss, but the sound is too weird with my Les Paul and I have difficulties in finding an acoustic vibe to play with an ‘an acoustic feeling’

going into a soundboard from the di out, it sounds pretty good. depending on the guitar, i flip through the presets till something sounds realistic. every guitar i have seems to need a different setting, so i cant really say that one is better, it just depends. the "guitar amp out" sound pretty bad to my ears though. i tried it on a tube amp and on a solid state, but i will just use it DI into the soundboard if i need it.
