I bought the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus and the beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm. The Sennheiser was for my wife and the beyerdynamic for my studio. Just to get it straight: from the beginning, in terms of sound and comfortableness, the beyerdynamic wins hands down compared to the ACCENTUM Plus. The byerdynamic has better sound reproduction. I can hear all instruments. Yes, it's a bit bass-heavy, but while you can EQ certain frequencies out of the mix, you can't just EQ missing stuff into the mix. The ACCENTUM lacks some frequencies. However, not all is well with the beyerdynamic either. I really hate coil leads. They are impractical. Why would anyone manufacture a headphone with a 50cm coil lead that seriously restricts movement around the recording console in the 21st Century? It's uncomfortable with the coil is always tugging at your head. Was soll dass? That said, it's still a relatively good headphone. Albeit bass heavy, it delivers clear audio and the ear pieces, for what it's worth, are comfortable. However, after using it for 3 months every day, I have reverted back to the Superlux HD681 headphones. They have a standard lead, they are almost as comfortable and they are not bass-heavy while still reproducing a good sound. The main drawback with the Superlux is that the treble sounds are always mildly distorted. Otherwise, they are very good and I don't have to EQ any unrealistic bass out of the phones. You decide whether you want to accept a coil lead and unrealistic, bass-heavy sound.
