Little monster
I just received it and play with it for a few hours. Excellent synth with lots of features and fantastic sound.
On the minus, as always, the operating instructions that come with it. Luckily there are a lot of videos on YouTube.

Great Sound and Value, But With Some Design Quirks
I like the JT4000 overall, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the output level is quite lowβyouβll need to run it through an amp or boost the input gain on your interface to get an optimal signal. Additionally, the placement of the USB-C and output ports is a bit inconvenient. With the audio jack plugged in, thereβs very little room to comfortably tweak the cutoff knob, which can be frustrating during use.
On the positive side, the sound quality is solid, and all parameters are fully MIDI-mappable. I was able to set up a custom user mapping on my Arturia KeyLab Essential using the Arturia MIDI Control software and the CC values from the manual, and it works flawlessly. This makes it easy to integrate the JT4000 into a DAW or control it with another keyboard.
One small drawback is that you can only use one oscillator in "Supersaw" mode at a time, which was a bit of a letdown. However, considering the price, itβs hard to beat the value this synth offers.

Very good for the price
I could be perfect by it has that noise when connecting for power & midi via USB to my PC. With standard MIDI connection and external power supply noise level is much lower

Super
Presets arenβt showing off itβs full potential.
USB noise can be a problem so you might need a power bank

Nice Quirky Synth
obviously i knew it wouldn't be the best build synth in the world.
Though it has quite some features and in my opinion its much easier to work with then most of the Volca series.
You must be prepared to do some learning and menu diving as the little screen obviously is cryptical to say the least.
Luckily there is always youtube to rescue.
if you love the 80s sounds than you have a winner here.

Nice small synth, but MIDI implementation is horrible
This is a nice synth that is really small and has a lot of different sounds. There is also an editor that you can find that is really good. However, due to the horrible MIDI implementation you cannot edit all parameters. Especially the waveform mixing, which is its main feature.
I understand it is inexpensive, but I don't think it takes a lot of development effort to add a few more MIDI message.

For this price you can't miss. Too bad there is no midi out on this device. Hence the low cost. I have regrets buying this

Great for what it is.
Placed next to my blofeld and hydrasynth for the times that I need an extra timbre. Perfect for that. If you have other synths it is a good companion. I would not recommend it though as a first synth, it is not easy to program and not very flexible soundwise. If you like the sounds of 90's sci-fi and horror soundtracks it is perfect, a great one trick pony especially if you feed it to en external multi-FX processor .
