Meine Matsuoka 41/325 spiele ich seit 40 < Jahren. Überwiegend habe ich verschiedene Saiten von Augustine aufgezogen, die mir bereits beim damaligen Kauf meiner Gitarre empfohlen wurden. Andere Saiten, die ich mal ausprobiert hatte, überzeugten mich nicht. – Insbesondere die Augustine Classic Red Imperial, Konzert Rot und Black passen klanglich sehr gut zu meiner Gitarre, die von Natur aus einen sehr vollen warmen Ton erzeugt. In den letzten Jahren habe ich allerdings mehr auf die „Roten“ zurückgegriffen, da diese nach meinem Empfinden klarer im Klang sind.

Diese soft-tension (Black) und medium-tension (Red) Saiten lassen sich komfortabel spielen, sind auch nach längeren Spielpausen angenehm bespielbar und hinterlassen keine Spuren (Wer hat schon gerne kaputte Fingerkuppen?). Allerdings sollte man jeweils vor dem Spielen alle Saiten einmal durchstimmen, um ein optimales Klangergebnis erzeugen zu können. Für Hobby-Musiker sind diese Saiten eine durchaus preisgünstige gute Wahl.
