Fantastic studio mic
This mic is perfect for many applications. I had amazing results with voice overs, broadcasts, male singers, bass amp, acoustic piano and flute. It's really solid, well built, nice and heavy.
The ONLY thing I find sometimes annoying is that without an external shockmount or balljoint you can't tilt the microphone, as it screws directly onto the mic stand or the boom arm. This may be a problem if you are setting up some stereo recording techniques, but other than that it isn't an issue. It has a built-it shockmount that works nicely.
It has 3 switches, one for the highpass filter (80Hz), one for the polar pattern (cardioid, omnidirectional, figure of 8) and one for pad (-20dB, -10dB, 0)
The microphone is just amazing, not harsh, full bodied, and really solid, perfect for acoustic instruments, cabs and voice-overs.

Good all-rounder at a reasonable price
I purchased this mic to record vocals remotely but the different polar patterns gives me the option to record so much more such as multiple voices at once.
The build quality is very sturdy and the mic itself is quite heavy- which I enjoy but the weight maybe something you want to consider if that bothers you.
For the price and sound quality - this mic is a real goer, obviously it won't compare to the top rated neumann mics but I find that is still a quality mic and I think setting up the space around it in a room can really set you up for success.

Flabbergasting for its price!
The Aston Spirit is an absolutely fantastic microphone. It has a beautifully open, detailed sound with a lovely sense of brilliance and air in the top end, thanks in part to its gentle presence lift around 10 kHz. What I really love about it is that it sounds clear and polished without becoming harsh, so vocals and acoustic instruments feel natural, vibrant, and full of life. It is also incredibly versatile, with cardioid, omni, and figure-8 patterns, plus pad and low-cut options, which make it feel far more premium than its price suggests. In my opinion, the Aston Spirit is one of those microphones that instantly makes you want to keep recording.

Very good mic!
I use this mic in my Home-studio to record mainly vocals, rooms, claps and snaps, ambient sounds, sometimes to stream...) but can do a lot more. Also, I use it with a clean preamp (no colour added). It needs phantom power (+48V) like all condenser mics. This mic records closely to the reality. Maybe a little boost in the high frequencies.
It's a mic with good sensitivity (more than an AKG 414 for example). There is a built-in popfilter, but I still use one with it. I'm not always completely satisfied with the built-in plus it protects even more the mic so.... it's all good.
I recommand this mic, good deal for a sturdy mic and pretty clean recordings.
Also, no shockmount with it, but a nice box with manuals, stickers and a little gift!
Enjoy!

top bargain
absolutely great for its price - it's reliable and sounding very good! i work with a pro singer who prefers this over 4.5k neumann and this speaks for itself. the sound I would describe as bright, crisp, clean, rather than warm/saturated, which is actually what I was looking for.

Transparency you can hear through
I have used tis microphone on a number of recordings and a variety of stringed instruments. Its clarity and transparency beautiful frequency balance would challenge the stalwarts of the microphone industry. I used it in a mid/side configuration and the results were excellen.t

Awesome Studio Mic
Very clear and clean sounding mic with a balanced bass response. Sounds great on almost everything, from vocals to guitars to drums. Recorded some male vocals on it a few weeks ago and barely needed any compression, EQ, or reverb and it sounded fantastic. With all the pickup pattern options and dB pad options, probably the best studio mic in this price range. Very robust and durable, it looks and feels like it could survive bumps, hits, or scratches that other microphones couldn't.
