Fusing power and quality

The Arturia MiniFuse 4 is a four-channel USB-C audio interface designed for refined and focused recording, monitoring, and DAW-based production workflows. Expanding the MiniFuse concept into a more fully equipped desktop production hub, it combines dual microphone inputs with an additional stereo line input, MIDI integration, and a more advanced monitoring section. MiniFuse 4 delivers credible studio-grade performance in a compact and affordable format, focusing on carefully selected hardware features, clean audio capture, and stable low-latency operation. A comprehensive bundled software package – including a streamlined DAW environment, creative tools, and access to hundreds of curated presets drawn from Arturia's virtual instrument catalogue – allows projects to move quickly from setup to completion, making the MiniFuse 4 a powerful yet compact central hub for modern home and project studios.

Clean signal, complete control

MiniFuse 4 is fitted with two combo XLR/6.3mm inputs for microphones, instruments, or line-level sources, supported by switchable 48V phantom power and up to 56dB of gain. An additional stereo line input on the rear panel accommodates hardware synthesizers, mixers, or any other stereo source. Six LED VU meters provide clear visual feedback for accurate level setting, while individual gain controls and a central monitor knob keep essential adjustments within reach. Direct monitoring enables latency-free tracking, complemented by flexible monitoring workflows supported by dual headphone outputs – ideal for collaborative recording or overdubbing sessions. The rear panel also includes balanced 6.3mm TRS outputs, MIDI DIN In/Out connectivity, USB-C connection, and integrated USB-A hub ports for adding peripherals such as MIDI controllers without occupying additional computer connections.

Expanded multi-source workflows

The dual microphone inputs allow stereo recording of a single source – such as a keyboard or grand piano – or simultaneous capture of independent sources such as guitar and vocals, while the additional rear stereo line input integrates hardware synthesizers, drum machines, or mixer outputs directly into the workflow. MiniFuse 4 supports more complex production setups without sacrificing the immediacy and ease of use central to the MiniFuse identity. MIDI I/O further enables hybrid configurations, allowing external sequencers and keyboards to be synchronised with a DAW. Blending direct and playback monitoring keeps tracking precise during overdubs, with separate monitoring available via the two headphone outputs, while the loopback channel allows system audio to be recorded alongside live inputs – an essential feature for streaming, collaborative production, and modern content workflows.

About Arturia

Arturia's success story began with software emulations of well-known analogue synthesizers such as the Moog Minimoog, Sequential Prophet-5, and Oberheim SEM. The popular software instruments included in the V Collection are still flagship products of the French developer today. Over time, Arturia has gradually expanded its range and now also offers a host of hardware devices, ranging from synthesizers and keyboard controllers to sequencers. Since then, the former software developer has thus also become a household name in the world of analogue synthesizers and other equipment.

Production starter software suite

Arturia's MiniFuse 4 ships with a focused starter software package designed to support immediate music production. Ableton Live Lite provides a streamlined and flexible DAW for recording and arranging, while Analog Lab Intro offers 500 curated presets drawn from Arturia's instrument catalogue, including a broad range of synth, keyboard and hybrid sounds derived from Arturia's V Collection, accessible and adjustable via selected macro controls. A suite of Arturia effects (including Rev PLATE-140 reverb, Pre 1973 preamp, Delay TAPE-201 echo, and Chorus JUN-6) expands mixing and sound-shaping capabilities, complemented by additional third-party tools for guitar processing, vocal production, and creative exploration. Together with the MiniFuse Control Center app, this ecosystem supports a cohesive workflow from an initial idea to the finished track.

Simply didn't work 🤷🏼
nikreiman 09.12.2024
I got this card to work with an older Intel Mac Mini (running Catalina 10.15). The card's power light blinked to indicate it received bus power, but it never showed up in my Mac. Same result when using the AC/DC power adapter.

I'm not sure if this card is non-class-compliant and thus requires a special driver (which would be reason enough to return it), but looking at the Mac's system info panel didn't even show the device in the USB tree as a raw device or USB hub.

If this card requires newer computer hardware, fine, but that's a pretty bad sign for its futureproof-ness.

It looks nice and works well! In my opinion a direct monitoring option is missing (you can do it but you have to enable that from the software, there's no dedicated knob..)
