These types of pencils with magnets on them are a must for me for rehearsals. You stick a pencil like this to the underside of the music stand ledge and it's out of the way when you turn pages while still being right there at hand. Also comes in handy to keep (a couple of) sheet music pages open if they don't want to stay completely flat.

Absolutely recommended. Just make sure your stand is metal.

No excuse for not marking that score if your pencil is always on the stand! Tiny item but a great help. Recommended.
