Found a tuning that I like and the snare sounds better. Will try a different head next however, this one has grown on me.

The Nirvana era Dave Grohl snare head

Absolutely on of the strongest snare heads out there. Sounds a bit muffled because of all the layers but it's hard to dent. I can understand why Nirvana's drum tech put this on Dave Grohls snare drums.

Good Rock Sound

Would be good for rock. Good tight sound, never got a good low tuning from it.

Not good for brush drumming given it's shape.

Good dampening/control. I didn't need to use as much tape/moon gel.

Might be good for very hard hitting drummers, a little more endurance than I would like.
