The ultimate rack strip for DIY

I have made a few custom racks, and this is really really good. No issues at all, just get yourself a good metal saw.

My tip - go to IKEA, and buy RAST, and then put these strips on it, and you have the cheapest possible 19" rackunit in wood. A no brainer!

This rack strip is now part of a piece of high end studio furniture. I thought I was buying the 'tapped' sort of rack rail, which is what I wanted. So look very closely at the product picture when you're making your order. I don't think Thomann sells the tapped rack rail type. The box that thomann put this in was over 2 meters long so I had to hike out to pick it up from Post Nord in a distant industrial area of town, since sometimes the delivery people pretend to deliver things but do not. The box was damaged, and the 2m steel rail was jutting out of the end of the box. Not a big deal, just keep that in mind when you order huge steel bars ;)

This item was delivered quickly, and was perfect for my requirements. It is easily cut with a decent hacksaw, but don't let that deceive you - it is perfectly strong for regular use. It is very well finished.
