Good sticks but unbalanced
Vorath 09.03.2021
I like the size of the sticks (i prefer thicker and longer ones) and the Meshuggah decorations look nice and crisp.

So far i have only used them on a practice pad and i noticed a pretty strong imbalance in them: one sticks produces a higher pitch than the other, by quite a bit.
Now, i don't know if this is a desired "feature", given that they are signature model sticks, and i could find no indication of this being the case, but i personally do not like this and i find it distracting during practice.

Pros:
- good price
- Nice finish
- Good size for me
- Meshuggah

Cons:
- the two sticks sound quite different from each other, betraying a definite weight difference

They don't break.
Tom U. 05.01.2026
Seriously. I don't think I've actually snapped a pair of these.

I ended up back on Promark oak as I prefer the feeling (and I like the stripe), but these Wincent sticks are the real deal.

I don't think I ever broke a tip when using them and the amount of abuse these take is unmatched. The wax coating Wincent uses clearly works as the area around the logo that takes the brunt of the rimshot damage took forever to start splitting and fraying. This area dented and obviously took damage, but the wood held together extremely well.

I only have two complaints about these;
1) They're hard to get in the UK, and Thomann's shipping fees make them a little uneconomical to order unless you're bulk buying or stocking up with a few other items.

2) The weight of the sticks would vary from pair to pair a lot. I never felt like one stick was heavier than the other within a pair, but if that pair got worn out and I picked up a fresh set the weight difference between the two pairs could be significant. Other companies have this issue as well, it's not just Wincent, but I did notice it a little more.

Overall, great sticks if you're a heavy hitter that wants a big stick to last forever.

These sticks are great and I would highly recommend. For a while I mainly used Vic Firth but this pair converted me over to Wincent. I find them quite comfortable to use. Having both Tomas Haake and Meshuggah written on the sticks is a cool bonus too since I love the band

Just love how they feel in the hands and they transmit a insane power to the head, with an amazing strong sound as a result. These drumsticks feel like plaiyng with two full grown trees in the hands. They rock

Nice mass and reach.

Great rock stick, a little less dense than a standard Vic Firth or Promark model. Works great with grip tape for a little extra weight toward the back.
