My violin has a fairly dark tone and isn't very loud. These Thomastik Vision Titanium Solo VIT100 work fantastically for me and are MUCH louder than Dominants (or any other strings that I've used). They can sound a bit scratchy at first, but settle down after a couple of hours. Pitch stability is excellent.
