Surpassed my expectations
luffarvante 20.09.2021
I bought this to have a cheap transport case for my Banjo and figured it would be good enough for when I occasionally wanted to bring it when traveling.

After using it every now and then for a few years, I've been pleasantly surprised.
It shows no signs of breaking or even any heavy wear, and the padding is designed so that the instrument is protected from all angles. As you may know, a lot of cheaper padded cases tend to have spots where padding is missing or have gaps in important places, but not this one.
Highly recommended!

Nice simple bag
Zachar 17.05.2020
A good quality no frills banjo bag. Good padded pocket that fit my five string banjo very nicely. The wide padded straps offer plenty of adjustability. There is a simple extra pocket. The zip on this pocket is functional but not quite as sturdy as the zip on the main pocket. More than adequate for continual use by a sensible user, but perhaps not as a child’s first bag or a rumbustious busker. Finally, the bag has also proven itself to be remarkably waterproof, having survived a forty minute bike ride through pouring rain only to remove my banjo and it still be dry. To conclude, I would recommend this bag to anyone who habitually needs to transport their banjo in safety and comfort.

Perfect fit for my banjo
stumacd 09.12.2021
This case provides great protection for my banjo. I have used it for well over a year now and it is still in perfect condition. Nothing has happened to my banjo while in the case and it is very well travelled. The pocket has enough space to carry everything I need.
Excellent protection for a great price.

Nice padded bag
Pepinodenovo 26.03.2026
I'm using this to carry a bouzouki and works flawlessly with this instrument too.
The only thing i'm not happy about, is the position of the pocket: it sits right above the most delicate part of the instrument, so i'm keeping it almost empty all the time. in another position it would have been more useful.

Strong bag/case
Patrick@BrightonUK 01.02.2022
Very good and strong case, or bag. It's made of fabric with thick padding and feels durable. It's well manufactured and got a classic look in all black.
Hand pouche at the front provides additional storage.
My banjo feels safe in there!

One size fits all!
tenorclef 24.01.2025
This was bought for the Harley Benton 17 Fret Irish banjo model HBJ-24 . It was actually a bundle deal, curiously when you look at the photo the banjo/bag look a good fit.....they are not, this is Thomann's one size fits all size banjos 🤣 so was surprised to see the banjo is not a nice fit. Saying this for getting the banjo down and back from an acoustic session it will do the job but i'd say the gig bag is pretty rugged and more suited size wise for the longer sized banjos than my little Irish ting.

DV
Cheap, and decent
Dave Vader 18.06.2015
It's a gig bag, so don't expect it to survive an earthquake. However, it is decently stitched, and has stood up to a year or so of being thrown in and out of the back of my car, left in muddy festival "backstage" areas, and being dropped. Without falling apart. Which gives it one up on my guitar gig bag, which hasn't.
The handle is thick enough to fit in the hand comfortably, rather than some cheaper thinner ones that feel less reliable and there is plenty of space in the pockets for spare strings, capos, finger picks and dungaree clips. And my ancient kay banjo fits in lovely and snugly.
I would happily recommend it to any banjo bashers in need of a cheap way to transport their stuff.
