Awesome direct drive pedal!
Went from an Iron Cobra dual chain back in 2002 to an axis longboard direct drive in 2010 went back to my cobras in 2012 (axis wasn't for me) I just couldn't transition to it. I thought that this was it for direct drive pedals ,they just werenβt close to my understanding. Now in 2020 I decided to give Dyna sync a try. Transition to the new pedal was seamless. This pedal is a dream for me. I can just express myself without feeling that my pedal is on the way. Smooth, adjustable , straight to the point this new Tama pedal is the best Iβve personally tried. Also it is totally compatible with the Kd-10 kick pad.

Great pedal!
I've been using this since 2021, and I am still quite happy with it! Even though I gave it 5 stars, there's some things that could be better:
The pros:
- Pretty much unpack and play! and it feels quite good right away.
- There is lots of settings, but most of the time you don't really need to touch them.
- Feels light and robust at the same time.
The cons:
- I had to change the shaft. Nowadays they have the mirror rod thing, but I changed it to a Trick Drums Drive shaft (same functionality as the mirror rod) and made a massive difference! With the original shaft, there was a big difference to the left beater swing, it was swinging way less compared to the main one (I tried all proper settings and adjustments with no success). With the Trick Drums Drive shaft, this latency went away completely.
- I also changed the original beaters with a classic Trick Drums and the feel of the pedal improved also.
- The rubber piece from the bass drum clamp got almost destroyed quite quick, that was a big downside to me.
Would be nice to have:
- The base plate is solid, it would be amazing to have a rail or something compatible to attach footblasters or ontriggers, so you don't need to glue them to the pedal.
Overall, good pedal!

These made me a direct drive guy
The smoothest pedal I've ever used... but I can't quite say the same for the slave pedal. There is noticeable lag, more than what I get out of my chain drive DW 9000 pedals with a Trick drive shaft. Maybe that's what this needs for me to give it a full five stars, but it gets what it gets because as a single, this is unquestionably the most responsive pedal I've used.

Kick Different
after three sessions at factory settings, I have to admit these pedals do demand skill. it's a professional level tool that WILL expose all the flaws in your technique you might have. direct drive is no joke. it WILL have you put all your muscle into work. my legs actually hurt! I had to take off the Coils to alleviate at least some of the effort Dyna-Syncs are making me put in. pedals pack a monstrous, humongous punch making my bass drum dangle and dance when I play both pedals. at the same time they feel extremely fast and smooth. so any fast stuff I have to play actually feels easier now. so if Lorna Shore style lightning fast stuff is your thing, these pedals are gonna help you out a lot.
I'm not even touching build quality here because TAMA hardware is famous for being able to survive a nuclear blast.

An amazing double pedal
The most versatile pedal I've ever tried. Excellent quality with features that can give you the ability to adjust it the way you like. The only thing that I would change is the drive shaft. I believe a ''Trick drums drive shaft'' type is a must so that there is no lag on the left pedal compared to the right. That feature would make it incomparable!!

Smooth and stable
It is smooth, even the secondary pedal. Nothing bad, except the higher price. It does feel like quality though. Not made for easy transport (weight), but great as stationary
pedals.

Simply great.
To preface: I'm a hobbyist not a professional.
I've gotten som good use out of these pedals at this point and I simply do not have anything bad to say. Quality is top notch and the feel is great. Theres more adjustability than I know what to do with.
The only thing I would question with a pedal like this is the value proposition. Regardless of brand there are some great options out there that are way cheaper.
