Beats Big Sky
0d0c0 15.02.2018
I sold my Big Sky and bought the Ventris for its routing capabilities.
I was not disappointed - it gives full control over your trails and the dual engine gives the option to maintain the wet signal when freeze/hold is engaged (not possible on BigSky). Also has the option for an external loop. The Neuro Desktop Editor allows full access via USB to tweak every parameter you can imagine however the Neuro mobile app has yet to support the Ventris.
The sound and build quality is easily comparable with Big Sky however Ventris wins on features and price.

L
Ultimate reverb pedal
LUN4 27.07.2022
For quite some time I searched for a reverb pedal that would satisfy my reverb needs, and I finally found it with the Ventris. The base pedal provides 8 presets and a fair amount of customization (like any expensive reverb from Strymon, Empress, Neunaber etc.) on a lot of really great sounding reverb algorithms. And the cool thing is it has two separate reverb engines, so you can run two reverbs at the same time (series, parallel, stereo, spillover). This is all great of course and already puts it in its own class compared to Strymon and similar brands, but the sheer amount of configuration options available with Neuro Desktop are what elevates this pedal even more. It gives you many presets, diffusion to create unique dual reverbs, control over many many setting etc.

In short: I'm really liking this pedal and it's the first reverb pedal I'll probably keep for a very long time. Even without the Neuro Desktop (or the app if that's more your thing) I would buy this over Strymon and similar devices, but with the Neural Desktop/app it's really a no brainer for me.

The one bad thing I noticed is the 4-year warranty process is really cumbersome and takes quite a lot of time (especially when you own multiple Source Audio pedals). Other brands have made this way simpler and user friendly, so hence I subtract stars from my rating.

Soarce audio Ventris
James4979 14.11.2018
This Reverb pedal is phenomenal the features are simple but extensive giving you access to every aspect of any reverb effect then having 2 reverb engines doubles its capabilities where you can manipulate each individually. Then with the software editor you can program your own presets up to and import them into the pedal up to 4 dual presets as well as the ones present on the pedal. So alround you are not missing anything if you are looking for a reverb pedal.

Great reverb for tweakers
nikhosop 06.09.2021
All in all, I must say it is a great reverb, but if you are ready to learn the manual and happy to use the app. Initially, I thought I am ok with that, but in the course of time, it starts to burden me. Of course, you have all your basic controls on board, but to get most of it, you need the damn phone. Most of the modes are useful, some less (didn't find use for the offspring or lofi modes). The sounds are great and more natural not as hipster *lush* for lack of a better word. Switching between presets is not that seamless in a live situation without a midi controller, but if you're okay with two sounds per song, you can program the second footswitch to do what you want with the second reverb engine.
