Sonor AQX Jungle Set BOS

When choosing between this and a Pearl Midtown the Sonor AQX Jungle won out with a cheaper price, more premium hardware and features and does a much better job at holding its tuning. Out of the box the drums were so easy to tune up and the cymbal mounting arm on the bass drum is very sturdy. The shells still fit the Pearl Midtown Cases making them incredibly portable and great for rehearsals and pub gigs where a quick setup and easy load in is favoured. The stock heads do the job but definitely can get a more premium sound by replacing.

Bought this as a kit to use for gigs only. The whole thing is easy to transport and it sounds great. The kick needs to be properly mic'd up and tuned very low to achieve a good rock/pop sound. I mostly trigger the kick and get a good punchy sound. The hardware feels sturdy and reliable. Only thing you need to do is change the drumheads for best possible sound.
