Absolutely an incredible specimen!
NotYourAverageJoe 02.09.2020
This guitar is definitely worth every penny you spend on it! The finish is incredible and the guitar looks so good. The fretboard is slightly convex in shape (very little) that is similar to the one you find in stratocasters. I personally don't like flat-fretboards and this 7 string model compensates with a slightly convex shape, which allowed me to make a transition from a narrow to a wider fretboard.

Pickup are warm in tone and are incredible for people who like to play distorted guitars. The output range of the passive pickups is lower than, for e.g. EMG pickups, which is ideal for mixing (since it allows enough headroom for compression and still retaining all the dynamics). The duncan pickups are relatively flat (with a little boost in the high mids) and are definitely tight sounding! (I hate EMG pickups which sound all over the place). Clarity is achieved when playing big chords on a distorted signal. But I would definitely consider Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker in the future (still nothing against the original Duncan Solar PU. I just want to checkout the hype behind FF ;) ).
QC has been performed well and the guitar has everything in the perfect condition. Kudos to Thomann for delivering the in-stock guitar in within a couple of days!

Great guitar, a lot of imperfections
Jones From The North 26.11.2021
Bought this because of the hype behind the brand.

It's a quality instrument, and it certainly plays great.
The Solar Duncan pickups are kind of flat, or dare I say boring. If you're into really heavy stuff, consider swapping the pickups.

Now fo the negatives:
There are a lot of small imperfections in the finish here and there, and there's a couple of spots on the neck where the finish is a bit uneven and rough.
Small cracks on the side of the neck where the frets are pressed into the fingerboard started showing up a couple of weeks after delivery.
A couple of bubbles in the finish in the headstock, particularly around the logo.
The 5 way switch had a slight crackle to it, even when playing clean. Contact cleaner did nothing to help with this.

I dont really have anything special to say about the guitar.
It plays great, but the imperfections are too many for a guitar in this price range, and from what I've researched on the web, it seems to be a common thing with the Solar brand.

Needless to say, i wont be returning to this brand anytime soon unless they step up their QC.

Great instrument
SDNL 01.07.2022
My 1st 7 string. Quality in general is good, some loose screws but that was an easy fix.

It looks absolutely stunning in person the finish is great. The Evertune is also pretty awesome stays perfectly in tune even with heavy chugging. The neck also feels pretty amazing.

Due to the coil-split cleans are also pretty great!

Would recommend!
