Ensure you need exactly it first

I've planned to accommodate UCX II + Ferrofish Pulse8 AE in one unit, but
it was a disappointment for me from two perspectives
- It doesn't match UCX 2 holes (Ferrofish's as well)
- It's just a painted metal (not an aluminium as it looks)

After this, I can't see any reason to prefer this unit over 7 times cheaper alternative. While rackmount ears looked solid and felt amazing - this item was a total miss.

To be fair, UCX wasn't listed within supported items, and there are no words about being aluminium. And back-side cable management is pretty useful.

But I feel sad mounting my 2k+ units on double-side tape...

Perfect for ADI-2 PRO FS!

My biggest concern was to adapt RME ADI-2 into the 19" rack. Having the PRO FS and DAC FS models I was concerned if it would accomodate these two. I am only having the PRO FS by my side and this racking unit [UNIRACK2] fits it PERFECTLY! Whether it fits the DAC FS so that it sits symmetrically with the PRO FS - I cant yet tell and would need to experiment with once Im back in my studio. All and all - the predrilled screwholes are perfectly aligned without tilt/skew and the depth makes it sit flush. // P.S: Out of all the provided screws, one screw thread was not perfect and that made my PRO FS bottom paint chip off a little.. ouch -- i recommend trying each screw without the UNIRACK first, just make sure to NOT run it deep to avoid RME unit damage, and when you see it fits, simply use those tested screws while attaching the RME unit. I still give it a 5star rating! The amount of provided screws was 9 in total. // P.S2: The unit is a tiny bit outside of the 1U height which COULD become a bit of a problem when sitting between the other units in a rack, but im hoping it would be alright if i let the other units sit tighter together, or would place the ADI-2s rackedup above everything, which in my case [DANGERFOX GENESIS24U mastering desk] could have a tiny bit more room in the positioning. Thank you THOMANN!

Habe das Uni-Rack II für mein Fireface UC gekauft.

Hatte vorher das RME Rackmount Kit RM-19X verwendet, da ich aber die Kabel und das Netzteil im Rack fest installieren wollte, habe ich das Rackmount Kit zurückgeschickt und das Uni-Rack II bestellt.

Die Lochungen passen perfekt. Mittig kann man es aber nicht montieren, sodass ich es rechts montiert habe und somit ein Platz in meinem Fall frei bleibt. Deshalb bei Features auch "nur" 4 Punkte. Ansonsten sitzt das Teil felsenfest im Rack.

Sehr gut finde ich die Möglichkeit, dass das Netzteil mittels Kabelbinder befestigt werden kann - das passt exakt!! Sehr cool.

An den hinteren Anschlüssen des Firefaces habe ich alle Kabel fest angeschlossen, die Schlitze zur Zugentlastung sind perfekt dafür. Damit sie nicht rausrutschen habe ich die Kabel mittels Kabelbinder vor und hinter den Schlitzen befestigt. Ebenso das USB-Kabel habe ich auf diese Weise fest installiert.

Jetzt habe ich alles in einem Rack und kann einfach die Kabel in das 19" Rack legen, ohne die Kabel vom Interface zu lösen und das Rack perfekt transportieren.
Außerdem habe ich noch Platz für einen USB Hub neben dem Fireface.
