THE interface
I've had this for a few months now. While I haven't been able to try out every little thing I can do, it's a great interface for a wildly great price here at Thomann. The conversion is noticeably better than my Apollo Twin X was, both listening via headphones and my studio monitors. The options for expansion are wonderful too. I'm slowly getting my head around Totalmix, but I've already found it to be great for routing with outboard gear. More mic preamps would be nice at this price point, but you can only fit so much in a 1U chassis.

everything I expected and more
The RME UFX III is simply outstanding. Rock-solid drivers, ultra-low latency, and total stability β just what you'd expect from RME. TotalMix FX is incredibly powerful once you get the hang of it, and the routing flexibility is unmatched. The build quality feels premium, and the front panel display is surprisingly useful for quick monitoring.
Coming from other interfaces, the clarity and detail in the converters are immediately noticeable. USB 3.0 performance on my Mac has been flawless so far, even with high track counts and multiple plugins. I paired it with a Ferrofish Pulse 16 MX over ADAT, and the integration was seamless.
This interface is an investment, but for a serious studio setup, it's worth every cent. Zero regrets.

Powerful interfaz!
I'm very satisfied with the quality and transparency of the preamps. I'm still experimenting with the converters, but they're also promising. Their strong point is the ability to connect and enroute a large number of audio sources and manage them all with maximum stability. RME's quality is unquestionable.

Maybe the best interface money can buy
Well, at least one of the very very best. Great drivers, superb stability, ease of use. TotalMix is a bliss. It's preamps are crystal clean, its connectivity options amazing (with it had also S/PDIF). I totally recommend the RME Fireface UFX III.

Well, it's a RME.. Way more inputs and outputs for my needs, but got some spare cash , so I decided to by myself something nice.. Best drivers in the business, Totalmix rocks, constant updates, DuRec etc.. As I said, probably the last audio interface I'll ever gonna need(still gonna buy the digiface usb for mobile stuff, thou)..
