This makes any kit more expensive for the simple reason that it debrands your instrument. I would advise any drummer who wants to create a unique look and style to do so.

the product itself is great, but I wish either remo or thomann could have improved the packaging because mine came in with the film near the ring is crumpled and it seemed weakened.

It really depends on the situation you’re using it in. Personally, I’m happy with this drumhead, especially because it’s unbranded, making it ideal for shared backline setups.

In a live PA context, it definitely does the job and sounds perfectly fine. However, when playing acoustically, I wasn’t completely convinced by the sound. I mounted it on a Gretsch Maple kit with a P3 on the batter side, and it didn’t quite match my personal preference. But of course, sound is subjective.

That said, for the price, it’s hard to beat.

My kick drum head got ripped recently, I replaced it with this one and it sounds the same so I'm happy!

But day after first gig with it, i was delighted. My old 22 " big beat Ludwig is singing now.

Awsome head for the money, only downside is that port hole doesn't have any protection so you have to be very carefull when micing the kick or putting something inside, or just buy extra ring for protection. but for the price, can't complain.

I think this head is very good value for money.
