Ich verwende dieses Fell für meine 22x14 Tama Superstar Bass Drum von 1982.
Die CS-Variante verleiht dem bekannten sehr guten Sound eines Powerstroke Felles noch einmal ein bisschen mehr Fokus und "Attack". Letzterer ist keineswegs aufdringlich, sondern hilft, die Bassdrum im Band-Dickicht besser zu orten.
Für mich wichtig: Das Fell holt das Beste aus der Bass Drum, lässt ihr aber ihren Charakter, anstatt sie zur Spannvorrichtung zu degradieren.
Der Unterschied des beschichteten Fells zur etwas offener klingenden klaren Version liegt auf der Hand: etwas runder, etwas kürzer, meinetwegen auch "wärmer". Rumms und Tiefbass gibt es reichlich.
Wer sich traut, nimmt ein weiteres Powerstroke CS als Resonanzfell, lässt das geschlossen (vorher eine leichte Decke als maßvolle Dämpfung rein) und pustet den Rest der Kapelle freundlich lächelnd ans andere Ende des Proberaums ;-)
Insgesamt eine sehr geschmackvolle Erweiterung des Remo Repertoirs.
