Der SPL Transient Designer gehört sowohl als Hard- als auch als Software zur Standardausstattung jedes Studios. Die Handhabe ist vergleichsweise Einfach: Der Eine Regler macht mehr "Knack", der andere sorgt für längeren Ausklang, vor allem auf der Snare kommt das Plugin darum gerne zum Einsatz - vor allem, wenn der Drummer die Felle eher Streichelt, das Resultat aber nach durchgehenden Rimshots klingen soll. In der Plus Version hat der Transient Designer auch noch einen Sidechain-Filter, mit dem sich die Ansprache auf bestimmte Frequenzen reguliert.

Ist einer dieser Industrie-Standards, die man auch durch Freeware ersetzen kann, das Original klingt dann aber doch - gefühlt - am besten.

Kleiner Tipp: Weniger ist mehr. Nicht übertreiben, denn was anfangs gut klingt, nervt nach einem halben Song :)
