Nuvo Student Flute 2.0 Special Blue

I have been playing the flute for many years. My last flute died and was irreparable (bought in 1968).

I saw the Blue flute and bought it in part because I cannot afford a high quality new flute.

I had tried the Mk 1 version in a shop and was impressed. I am even more impressed with this one: It has a great depth of sound and a full tone. I an impressed.

After a week of playing it I find that it improves as I become more accustomed to it.

The negative elements rest bot so much with the instrument as it’s case. It is ingenious, but I found the hard way that it needs a lock, when the case opened and dropped the flute down a flight of stairs. It is a tribute to the concept that it was nog damaged: a metal flute could have been destroyed!

I will be gigging with it soon, and am looking forward to it!

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer robusten, preisgünstigen Zweitflöte speziell für Einsätze im freien bei Regenwetter oder Schnee ohne Angst zu haben, dass die wertvolle Konzertflöte zu schaden kommt.

Als ich die Nuvo Student Flute 2.0 Special blue gesehen habe dachte ich zuerst - hm coole Farbe aber wie die Kunststoff-Flöte wohl klingen mag 🤔?!

Ich hab sie zum Testen bestellt und muss sagen, dass ich schwer beeindruckt bin.

Das Spielgefühl ist natürlich etwas anders als bei meiner Metall-Querflöte aber es macht Spaß mit der Nuvo Flöte zu spielen.

Die untersten Töne, vorallem das c' sprechen sogar besser an als bei meiner Konzertflöte. Bei der 3. Oktave schaffe ich es noch bis zum b''' einen ansprechenden Ton hinzubekommen.

Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall behalten und bin gespannt auf ihren ersten Außeneinsatz.

P.S. laut Gebrauchsanweisung kann man sogar unter der Dusche mit der Nuvo Flöte spielen. Ein Versuch ist es Wert 😅
