Numark Mixstream Pro GO

There's not a lot more I could add that hasn't already been mentioned on various Youtube reviews, but coming at it from a newbie persepective this is an impressive controller.

The speakers are a lot better than I was expecting, perfect for an after party, house party, back yard BBQ and with the option to output to larger speakers it could then be used in larger rooms.
It downloads songs very quickly (obviously wifi and network dependant) and comes with 3 months Soundcloud Go and 2 months Beat Port/Source free when registered on Numark site.
3.1.1 Engine DJ update has brought more effects which are pretty decent.
From the newbie perspective there is a lot to learn and setting up playlists is a must.
The battery seems to be mighty impressive too, I reckon it will easily do the 4 hours claimed and more.

Overall I'm very glad I got it, it has helped re-ignite the passion of hunting down new and interesting tracks and now figuring out what they'd mix well with.

I have no words to describe how pleased I am with the Numark Mixstream Pro GO, but I will try my best here.

I usually DJ at some friends backyard party or when I travel with a large group of friends from a march we all belong to. Never did major gigs though. So having found this option, which made me loose my laptop, my speakers and all I had to secure was an internet connection, easily hot spotting my phone anywhere, this was a no-brainer. Though, before buying it, I dug deep on YouTube and online topic boards to watch an read every review I could before sealing the deal. Believe me when I say that no review can make true justice to the real quality of this controller.

1 - Weight
I was a bit worried about it, since I want to take this with me everywhere, but at around 4Kg, it can easily be carried on a proper bag, which I made the mistake of not buying at the same time and I highly recommend.
I took it on a work trip to another island on the very same day it arrived and just used the polystyrene from the factory package and packed it nicely on my travel bag, which went to the plane cargo and it survived the round trip.

2 - The Sound
I was staying in a hotel and couldn't use it full blast for obvious reasons and I even had to use the individual deck volumes to lower the music down a bit more not to disturb anyone. But when I came back home, I could test it properly and I was stunned! I have had JBL bluetooth speakers and I can say the sound of this Numark Mixtrack Pro Go stays somewhere in between a pair of JBL Flip 4 and a single JBL Xtreme 2, which is plenty if you plan to practice in your bedroom or on the couch, with the unit on your lap. It would also be ok if you want to use it on a backyard BBQ with some family and friends, though I will take my Xtreme 2 with me just because the unit speakers are faced to me and I want to project the sound to the audience in front of me.

3 - The features
Well, I will try to keep this one short, but it won't be easy...
Engine OS is amazing! I was afraid of regretting not going to something AlphaTheta and rekordbox but soon after booting the unit for the first time, I knew I made a great choice. You can get music from the most popular streaming services and hide the unused options from the menu, which is great to declutter and make the navigation easier. I'm using Beatport right now and haven't added my SoundCloud account yet.
After coming home, I gathered an SD card and copied some tracks to test. While copying the song straight to the card works, you will be using the unit as a basic player and I highly recommend you to do it through the Engine DJ software. It will analyse all the songs, key, BPM and even stems, which will make your work smoother and a lot easier later.
There is also a Dropbox option but I still haven't tested it yet, though I think it is very handy as well.
Everything else is very intuitive and I haven't explored the light control feature yet, but I'm leaning towards buying some Philips Hue or Nanoleaf starter kit to add some ambient to my home setup now.

4 - The price
I will say it again, for what it costs, the Numark Mixstream Pro Go delivers and exceeds. I couldn't be happier!

This has been my experience with it so far, in my 6 days of ownership, but I believe it will be a great companion for the future and it will help me develop even more my DJ skills. It might be a weird thing to say, but I strongly think if something happened to this unit or it broke down for any reason, I would more than gladly but another straight away.

Klar, das Gerät kann nicht mit großen Clubstandart- XDJs oä mithalten, aber soll es auch garnicht.

Plug&Play, immer bereit für eine kleine Session auf dem Sofa, kurz mitgenommen an den See, zur Überbrückung zwischen DJ-Set Ab- und Aufbau ist das Teil perfekt.

USB stick, Speicherkarten, Tidal oder Beatport+ verarbeitet der Controller dankend und ohne Faxen.
Wenn man kein Bock mehr hat aufzulegen, kann man seine Bibliothek als Playlist laufen lassen oder kurzerhand ein Deck per Bluetooth dem Handy zuweisen.

Die internen Lautsprecher sind nicht schlecht, aber eben auch nicht professionell.

Das einzige Manko ist das, manchmal etwas fummelige Menü und die "Neuinterpretation" von rekordbox Playlisten. Die DJEngine hält sich nicht an die Reihenfolge der anzuzeigenden Tracks.

Alles in allem ein hervorragendes Spielzeug für DJs, die gerne spontan auflegen.
Wer ein professionelles Club All in One Gerät sucht, ist bei Pioneer besser aufgehoben, oder dann für ein Vielfaches des Preises und ohne Akku.

J'ai un peu d'expérience avec d'anciens contrôleurs pioneer mais l'expérience que je vie au quotidien avec ce mixstream pro go est incomparable. Une idée me traverse la tête avec des titres a mixé et en quelques secondes je le tente sur le contrôleur que j'enmene partout, pas besoin de courant ou de câble ou d'enceintes, c'est immédiat. C'est simple, quand il est pas a la maison avec moi il me suit dans la voiture 😁 je m'en suis servie a la plage appuyé contre des rochers, a la montagne et dans le jardin. Le son hyper propre et puissant pour les enceintes qu'il embarque est impressionnant. J'ai hâte tout de même qu'ils intègrent le mode jour dans une future mise a jour firmware de l'engine dj car c'est pas évident d'y voir quelques chose avec beaucoup de clarté. L'autre petit défaut a régler et je pense qu'ils sont au courant est que les équaliseurs et les filtres ne réduise pas complétement les fréquences. On peut regretter qu'il soit aussi seulement en 2 piste mais bon faut peut-être pas abuser pour commencer avec un nouveau produit précurseur. Niveau finition c'est du plastique de très bonne facture, c'est du très bon numark. Avec son poid plume il peut se transporter partout et même comme un ghetto blaster sur l'épaule 😎 engine DJ est très complet et intègre même un sampler depuis sa version 3.0. avec banque de sample intégré et qui permet de balancer des pistes de musique entière sur les 8 pad et en même temps😱Mais quel machine ou logiciel peut faire ça ? Aucun(e)🤷 Seulement engine DJ. Je rajouterais peut être plus tard un système son autonome que je brancherait en xlr pour encore plus faire de bruit quand j'en aurai envie 😁 La batterie a une bonne autonomie de à peu près 3/4h avec mon utilisation, je n'ai pas encore fait de set entier avec le son à fond qui doit certainement tirée sur la batterie et descendre l'autonomie a 1h30/2h. Que dire d'autre a part que j'ai fait le meilleur achat depuis des années. Full autonome + engine DJ ça en fait une machine unique en son genre. D'ailleurs elle l'est. Cette instantanéité en plus de pouvoir m'en servir partout va me donner les moyens de faire des choses bien avec en plus de me donner confiance de jouer devant des gens. Numark a fait de moi son esclave, dès qu'ils sortiront la version 4 pistes je foncerais l'acheter 😆
Maintenant je suis prêt à faire la fête n'importe où et n'importe quand ^^
