The SD 30 boasts a 30W power amp, an 8" speaker, and huge number of amp simulations and effects. It combines 25 high-quality reproductions of legendary guitar amps from past and present with 28 different effects, with a looper with a 150-second recording memory and a drum machine just waiting to be used. It also boasts a memory bank to store up to 40 individually fine-tuned sounds, as well as an illuminated display, a tuner, and the option of listening to backing tracks via a Bluetooth connection.

No confusing menus

The user interface of the Mooer SD 30 combo is intuitive and easy to get to grips with - no need to read the manual! It comes preinstalled with 25 authentic-sounding amp models, which are based on Mooer's renowned digital preamp technology, and as such capable of delivering an extremely wide range of dynamically playable sounds, from radiant clean sounds to a full high-gain onslaught. A three-band EQ means the sound can be further adjusted according to personal taste, while a collection of the most important delay, reverb, and modulation effects can also help add the finishing touches to each individual tone. The speed of the modulation effects can be altered at the touch of a button, and the reverb section comes with three different modes: Room, Hall, and Church.

And it couldn't be easier to work with this compact little device (it weighs in at only 8.3kg). With Bluetooth connectivity, it's also quick and easy to record playback tracks for practising with, or simply to use the amp to listen to music (for which the SD 30 also has a headphone connection). The excellent sound quality is sure to to please pros, too, if they're looking for a flexible sparring partner to jam with at home. And however big or small their own four walls are, the SD 30 is so compact that they're guaranteed to find a suitable spot for it somewhere.

About Mooer

Mooer is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and has been making products for guitarists since 2010, which include compact single pedals through to multi-effects units and compact amplifiers. The company initially produced a range of mini pedals before making perhaps its most significant breakthrough in 2016 with the sophisticated Ocean Machine delay pedal, which was designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend. Mooer's product range now also includes solutions that feature amp modelling, IR-based speaker simulation, and matching equalisers, and the company's focus remains firmly on the use of digital technology.

It's all here

Thanks to its versatile range of emulations of high-quality amps, its collection of the most important effects, its extremely compact size and, last but not least, its simple and intuitive operation, the Mooer SD 30 modelling combo is ideally equipped to support every guitarist playing in their own four walls. The 30W output stage, in combination with the 8" speaker, guarantees sufficient power, while the wide range of connections – including Bluetooth connectivitiy – make this combo immensely flexible. What's more, it will save up to 40 individual sounds, which can then be enjoyed undisturbed with nothing more than a set of headphones. Finally, the appealing visual design of this little combo is also worth a mention, with its stylish grey-beige Tolex vinyl covering.

Good practice amp
StephanPK 21.01.2022
Got this unit few weeks ago. I would say this is very good bedroom practice amp, that has helpful options like simple drum machine and looper.
The sound is ok, compared to Vox Mini go 50 that I had, a bit dull, so need to play a bit with an amp EQ settings.
The biggest downside for me that it does not have a separate EQ in stomp modulations. The only EQ that is available is on the amp settings. So it's a bit hard to tweak the sound.
Amp selection is good, has all the range, from cleans to high gain. The default presets do not show the full potential of the amp, they usually have a lot of modulation, heavy reverbs etc. But once you build the preset from scratch, you could get decent sounds.
In overall, very happy with this purchase. It's not a tube amp and modelling is not on a Kemper level, of course, but for the price it has no competitors.

Great AMP
VADIM VN 21.03.2022
I used to use different brands. But this time I decided to follow the Thomann suggestion and buy this one. It is great. It takes time to figure out how it works, but after you would love it.

Also, want to specifically highlight that the way it is built is amazing. Just perfect quality, all parts, switchers etc works perfect with no unnecessary sound, noise or moves. Perfect quality

Perfect little practicing amp
ocram57 06.06.2022
Good looks, reasonable weight, sturdy construction, all the available features, along with the low price and Thomann's reliable services, the whole deserves a 5 star rating.
After reading the manual, operating the amp is quite simple and intuitive. Not all effects and rhythm grooves are of great quality but that's nothing new with equipment that comes with loads of features and presets. I wanted a practicing-jamming amp, and when with the SD 30 I get a looper, a drum machine, a tuner, enough good effects and rhythms that can be customized, all out through a clean, noise free speaker, well... I got what I was looking for and more. On top of that ( the cherry on top of the cake) ,the additional purchase (not included in the amp's price) of the wireless foot switch was a really good idea...
