Bundle offer comprising
Digital UHF 2-Channel Receiver with 72 MHz Switching Bandwidth
Digital UHF Handheld Transmitter Dynamic MU-59 Capsule
The Mipro ACT-800 Series is a digital wireless microphone system that offers truly excellent audio quality, achieved primarily thanks to the receivers' fully digital signal transmission via the integrated AES/EBU, DANTE, and AVB interfaces. The 256-bit encryption means transmissions are also protected against eavesdropping. This set includes both a dual-channel receiver (the Mipro ACT-828 5UA) and two transmitter mics (Mipro 800H-59 5UA) with a supercardioid pickup pattern, giving singers and speakers the full wireless package. All 5UA devices operate in the 482–554MHz frequency range, with a transmission range of up to 100 metres. With this professional wireless system, presenters and performers can enjoy both full freedom of movement and crystal-clear sound at any event.
The dual-channel Mipro ACT-828 5UA receiver is incredibly easy to use – in fact, it only has five buttons, and the large black rotary dial covers almost every function, so setting up and managing the receiver is intuitive and straightforward. Mipro's SmartEQ can adjust the audio signal's frequency response automatically, while ten user presets simulate different microphone capsules. In total, transmission is possible on 224 preset channels in seven groups. The system's dynamic range is 115 dBA, with a transmission latency of less than 2.7ms; this is primarily the result of the high-quality A/D converter, which also effectively eliminates high-level, high-frequency saturation and distortion. Diversity capability not only prevents dropouts but also increases the unit's reception range, ensuring top-class signal quality for every transmission.
The UHF handheld transmitters in this set comes equipped with the very robust Mipro MU-59 dynamic capsule, featuring a supercardioid pickup pattern that effectively suppresses background noise. For specific applications, users will appreciate the unit's interchangeable capsule design, allowing them to switch between capsules with different polar patterns. Capsules from other manufacturers such as Shure are also compatible. The on/off switch can be locked to prevent accidental muting during use. The transmitter can be powered either by two AA batteries (sold separately) or a rechargeable Li-ion battery, with the latter charged using either the USB charging cable included or the optional MP-800 charging station.
This set brings together just two elements of an entire wireless ecosystem designed for professionals who require high-quality, reliable signal transmission for their events. Because the 800 Series functions entirely digitally – which also means there's no distortion – the distance between transmitter and receiver has no effect on the signal quality, guaranteeing a stable signal–noise ratio, even at long range. The Auto Channel Targeting function – which is what ACT stands for here – enables automatic frequency synchronisation, eliminating the need for manual tuning and allowing the system to be ready in seconds. The receiver retains the frequency setting until the ACT function is used again, even after being powered off. Both the mics and the receiver have easy-to-read colour screens displaying all the most important parameters; the receiver has one screen per channel.
Established in 1995 in Chiayi, Taiwan, by wireless and audio engineer K.C. Chang, Mipro has become a leader in high-quality wireless audio systems. Now run by his son Solomon, the company specialises in wireless microphone systems, portable sound systems, in-ear monitoring solutions, tour guide systems, and camera receivers. In 2014, Mipro Germany GmbH was founded in Hardthausen, near Heilbronn, to enhance customer service and ensure smooth delivery across Germany. Mipro adheres to the latest manufacturing standards and holds top-tier classifications from the Electronics Association. In Germany, the company is TÜV-certified under DIN ISO-9001:2000, a testament to its commitment to quality.
The rear panel of the Mipro ACT-828 5UA receiver is equipped with two balanced outputs, one for each channel, as well as a digital AES/EBU output that handles both channels. This allows sound engineers to connect both analogue and digital mixers for further signal processing. If the receiver is to be synchronised with a central clock signal or with other devices, there are wordclock inputs and outputs for this very purpose. To the right are a remote input and output (RJ-11) for control via a computer using an external USB interface. Multiple Mipro receivers can be daisy-chained together; the proprietary software is capable of monitoring up to 64 channels on an external device. The two antenna sockets also provide the necessary output should extra antenna amplifiers be necessary.
