Soundquality is thick and rich in harmonics.
Not as aggressive like Neve.
Filters are very subtle. TX-button thickens the bottom somewhat.
Combine this with any microphone and you wont have to eq that much. Sounds fantastic on a saxophobe with the OVID-microphone. I have six now. I use it as a preamp for my DL16 stagebox.

Put this side by side with $1,000+ preamps. 50/50, you’ll like this one as much, maybe better.

The tunable low pass and high pass, plus the transformer to switch up the color on demand make it exceptionally flexible. I own two. I’d be happy to have a full rack of them.

This thing had good reviews, so it felt like a solid bet on. Still, I ended up
being surprised by the builld quality, sound and functions. Great piece of an equipment and a total steal for this price.

I bought 10 of these to build a 500 series modular mixer for my reggae soundsystem. All work perfectly. They have most of the expected features (phantom power, phase reverse but no pad). I particularly like the ability to control both input and output levels via the comprehensive metering and using the high and low pass filters to create dynamic bass and mid tones. Incredible value..
