i play rock, and this ride do the job. thick enough with dark finish sounds great, still bright.
not for jazz.
pairs good with dark 14" hi-hat .

nach fast 30 Jahren mit einem Paiste 2002 RockRide...

....nein, es war nicht dringend...
jedoch für meine neue Band mit auch mal sanfteren Stücken der Dire Straits, mit Bluesrock von SRV, Gallagher etc...wollte ich etwas weniger "Krawalliges"
wollte ich ein Becken, das sehr definiert und klar bleibt, auch wenn ich "draufdresche".... ;-).
Was mir noch wichtig war: ein harmonischer Klang, tief und erdig.

Nach vielen Experimenten bin ich jetzt beim Byzance Dark Ride gelandet.
Bleibt klar, ein sauberer "ping" egal bei welchem Tempo ( manchmal fast peinlich, weil die unsauberen Schläge auch sehr klar hörbar sind). Bin begeistert.
Manchmal erscheint?s mir hinter dem Set fast zu leise, auf den Mitschnitten ist?s jedoch klar zu hören.
Kleiner Kritikpunkt im nachhinein: die Glocke ist klein und weniger hörbar....
So nebenbei: ein wunderbarer Rebound ermöglicht intensives Spiel mit wenig Kraft.
