New Snare for recording hard rock/metal

I'd been using a Brass Snare for the last few years and decided I wanted something that sounded a little different. I'm not a fan of the stock heads that ship on this snare, but my guess is if you're spending €500 on a snare, you'll be putting new heads on anyway. I put an Evans Power Centre head on mine. The thing that jumps out at me most about this snare is it sounds awesome through the full tuning range. If you're looking for something for a home studio or some recording, you cant go wrong with this snare. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Sehr schöne und kräftige Alu-Snare

Heyo, ich hatte mir vor einiger Zeit die Mapex Atomizer bestellt und bin sehr zufrieden mit ihr.
Die Snare kam in einer guter Verpackung und einem Samtbeutel gegen unerwünschte Kratzer. Ausgepack kam sie sehr sauber, ohne Makel oder Kratzer an.
Statt des standard Fell kam hier ein Evans Heavyweight drauf, was ihr für mein Empfinden mehr Durchsetzungsvermögen und einen besseren Klang für härtere Musikrichtungen gibt, wozu der 20 drähtige Teppich hier auch sehr gut passt und sich einfach verstellen lässt.

Kurzum ist es eine tolle stabile Snare mit fettem Sound, mit der man in verschiedene Musikrichtungen gehen kann und lange Spaß hat.

Unkomplizierte Alu-Snare mit fettem Sound

Durch die vier Luftauslässe ist der Attack nicht so harsch und das Sustain nicht so lang, sie ist einfach zu mikrofonieren.
Die Verarbeitung ist top, wie von Mapex gewohnt. Die Hoops sind nach innen geflanscht, könnte für manche Clips ein Problem sein. Sie ist einfach zu stimmen und die Teppichspannung lässt sich beidseitig justieren (warum gibt es das nicht bei allen Snares?!).

Fazit: Ausgezeichnete Studio-Rock-Snare mit fettem Backbeat-Sound, vielleicht nicht die erste Wahl für Besenspieler ...
