At first I did not like it so much. There is a significant bass boost to the compressed sound and a thinning of the mids plus a treble boost. But then I started to like the change. I also really liked the Sustain/Compression option, where your string attack is not lost when in the Sus. position.
But in the end I tired of the tonal boosts and cuts and settled for the Keeley Compressor Plus.

Amazing transparent compressor!

I've had this pedal for 3 years no and it has never let me down. It's by far the pedal i use the most. The "sustain" and "Comp" modes are equally nice with both Singlecoil pickups and Humbuckers. The Comp setting will get you really nice country twang and the sustain mode will fatten your tone and balance your sound across the neck. Overall the quality of the pedal is really solid although the Handwired pedals are even more sturdy. I own both some handwired and PCB mad professor pedals and there is no tonal difference or a difference in transparency. Bjorn Juhl is a true master of sound and he wouldn't put his name on something that isn't up to his standards.

Nice compressor pedal
Anonymous 15.03.2015
Good solid pedal. Haven't had any issues with it. It's been a permanent fixture on my board since I purchased it. If I had to find something I didn't like about it the only thing I could say is that I'm not overly keen on where the dc jack input is located on the side of the pedal but it's probably due to where I've positioned it on the layout of my board. It's not really an issue though. Overall very happy with it.
