What I should have bought in the first place
There's and old adage - buy cheap, buy twice.
This is especially true of mic stands.
I bought this to mic up my little vibro champ amp and as a less intrusive stand for mic'ing up acoustics.
The cheaper stand which this is replacing, really isn't up to the job. I must have saved a tenner at the most buying the cheaper one, which now just takes up space.
This one does the job it's supposed to. It happily holds a large condenser mic in place and makes mic'ing my amp up a lot easier. I haven't tried it on an acoustic yet but I'm sure it's fine - I have other k&m's. It will be ideal for mic'ing kick drums, which is it's main purpose but it's good for guitar amps, acoustic instruments (not as an overhead - it's too small)
It's a mic stand - there's not much to say really - it does the job. And that's all it needs to do. Cheaper stands don't, from my experience. You're not saving much on the cheaper stands - you'll only have to replace them so just get the K&M in the first place.
There are other solid stands out there - we have some in the studios I work at but I never look at the names on things like that.
Just get the K&M because you know it will do the job.

Standard German quality
I use only K&M stands in the studio and live, and compared to other brands I find them the best. Easy to use and good build quality. It's a bit hard to tighten the upper half of the stand because of it's short length.

Tiny But Mighty
Needed to buy some short stands for mic-ing up bass drums/geetar cabinets/short people and these where extremely well priced. When they arrived I tested them out on a range of different applications and to be honest they made me very happy and in the mood to buy a few more. Very sturdy which is what I want. A pet hate of mine in both live and studio settings is having to use losse stands that wobble. These bad boys do none of that. Thanks guys very much again for supplying great quality gear at an affordable price. I will deffo be buying a few more. Cheers

Really good!
Really good build quality, which is the most important bit for me. The adjustments are simple and work great, and at no point does this feel flimsy or wonky at all. It's heavy for a reason.
Great product, recommended.

Short Kickdrum boom
Nice and sturdy. Really short so easy to transport. Very lightweight. Stays in place with a kickdrum mic installed.

Recording in Vicbooth Ultra
It can be restrictive recording in Vicoustic's Vicbooth Ultra however the K&M 25935 Mic Stand is quite versatile and can be positioned in almost any
angle to mic an Instrument or Amplifier cabinet. Its well designed, robust and will certainly stand the test of time.To be honest I could not function without it.

Stable, but not very versitile...
Very good quality and sturdiness. However, it hasn't got very long reach and it is sometimes hard to get the microphone where you want it.

Solid, reliable stand
Love K&M mic stands, they are very secure, stay in place and I’ve never had any issues with them

Solid product
This is a very good product, its lenght can be regulated at the point that you can reach more than 1 meter from the ground (considering that this is a kickdrum tripod, it's an excellent result).
