Die beiliegend CD ist eine Schau, der Autor singt sogar zu den Folk- und Bluegrass Standards. Das Lehrbuch beginnt bei den Anfängen der für die Stilistik richtigen Begleitung und arbeitet sich über die wichtigen G-Runs und Endings zu Carter Style und Solospiel vor. Es werden bekannte und typische Stücke in bis zu 5 Tonarten besprochen. Das ist einerseits gut, da sich der Autor auf die typischen "#" Tonarten beschränkt (Bluegrasser verwenden eine Capo wenn sie in "b"-Tonarten spielen), andererseits wäre mir lieber gewesen, wenn noch mehr Stücke vorgestellt werden würden. Das Spielen zur CD macht Spaß und man kann sich von Kapitel zu Kapitel durcharbeiten. Das Niveau ist nicht extrem hoch, aber man lernt trotzdem etwas. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut! Das Buch kann ich weiterempfehlen!
