I am byased because I love the Gibson sound (big, meaty) I am a singer and songwriter. I am mostly playing acoustic. Proud owner of J45 Studio, but this Hummingbird is a different level. In the studio helped us to record our album. Studio engineers were amazed, they told me "It has all frequencies, sounds like a piano". It really has a profound bass, good middle ...This particular guitar I choosed because is not so red :-) Looks vintage and has a brutal projection. Very happy. This guitar will definately stay with me for lifetime... You are simply more inspired to hold that beauty in your hand and play hours.

Super Gitarre mit leichten Schwächen

Sound ideal für Singer-Songwriter, da die Stimme nicht überlagert wird. Insgesamt sehr transparent und klar mit einer Art von "süssem Ton". Saitenlage absolut top ab Werk, dito Bespielbarkeit (kürzere Mensur und 12er oder 11er Saiten). Dazu noch super leicht und laut und resonant, was will man mehr. Das einzige was ich etwas kritisiere ist:
- Hals ist für mich etwas D-Förmig und nicht ganz wie ein mordernes C, ist aber kein grosses Problem und natürlich Geschmacksache.
-Das finish war für die Preisklasse bei Anlieferung nicht ganz optimal, aber auch eher ein kleiner Punkt
-Die Bridge Pins sind aus Knochen, leider halten manche die Saiten erst nach ein paar Versuchen, so ein Problem hatte ich bisher noch nie. Danach halten Sie aber zuverlässig.

Insgesamt gefällt mir die Gitarre besser als typische Martin Gitarren die auch auch hatte, weil nicht ganz so basslastig und für eine dreadnought keine 13er Saiten nötig, was bei Martin durch die längere Mensur die Bespielbarkeit schwieriger macht.

i když úplně nevím, proč i za tu cenu. Je samozřejmě skvělá, ale 1934 Jumbo je rozhodně lepší. Ale je to úplně jiný typ kytary. Tady by možná pomohlo odstranit pickguard. Sitka s akustickou úpravou a v tak velké ploše zaplácnutá litým pickguardem... Moc nemusím ani toho kolibříka, ale holt tam patří. Aspoň do doby, než najdu odvahu :)

Cette guitare est tout simplement prodigieuse. La qualité de fabrication des custom Gibson est une réalité. Cequi a pu me bluffer avant même de jouer c’est la légèreté de cette guitare. C’est une plume. Concernant l’esthétique chacun ses goûts moi j’ai toujours aimé les Hummingbird et la beauté de cet instrument est indéniable. Maintenant qualité son c’est tout simplement une tuerie absolue. Des graves présentes aux médium et aiguës tout est retranscrit avec un équilibre remarquable ce qui a pour résultat de pouvoir utiliser cette gratte dans tous les styles y compris avec le jeu au doigt. La vibration de sa caisse me transporte à chaque fois et puis alors quelle résonance. La table vieillie thermiquement joue là tout son rôle sans aucun doute. On a l’impression de jouer sur une guitare qui a 30 ans d’âge. Bref formidable réussite de Gibson. Bravo
