Evans Just Do It
I have had many years drumming and used lots of various skins. I use this around 6 hours a week and it sounds great, lasts as long as any other manufacture. Depending on what your style is you might want to shop around. I use this on a 14", 5 1/2" deep snare drum for covers. It works as I play rock to disco to pop to soul and a little bit blues with a hint of country - this sounds great in all these genres. If you cant tune then it will sound just as bad as all the other skins you have tried. Overall for this price you have a great product. Thomann prices are hard to beat and the service is always first class. Cheers Thomann for this great service and supplying affordable great products

One of the best snare heads for hard hitters!
The overtone is well controlled and balanced. Bright and powerful sound. Hard hitters will love this one (specialy metal/rock players).

Super durable and perfect for medium tuning!
The Evans EC Reverse Dot is a beauty. Sounds awsome on my snare and the coating is super durable too. I've been playing on it over 1 hour every day for the past 2-3 weeks and it still sounds and feels brand new!
The head had a lower pitch and a little bit of dryness. Perfect for medium tuning.

GOOD PRODUCT, BUT NO GHOST NOTES.
IT'S A VERY GOOD PRODUCT, BUT ONLY WHEN YOU HIT IT.
IF YOU LOOK FOR A ROLL OR GHOST NOTES THERE'S NO SOUND, IN THIS CASE YOU BETTER GET A COATED ONE.

My drummer loves these
While I don't personally use them, my drummer refuses to play on any other heads since he tried these.
They sound nice and even look the part!

Great Sound
The snare is sounding greater than usual. No more of the sharp harsh sound from my snare.

First Impressions
I swapped out the heads on my 8x14 snare, a day or two before a studio session, with one of these and the S14R50. Tuning was straight forward, the same number of turns on each lug, in the star pattern, brought it up to an impressively even pitch all around. During the session, the tuning altered slightly, which isn't a problem if you stay aware of it. I hadn't played on it before the session, so I don't think it had stabilised yet.

Still my favourite
Accidentally moved on to Remo heads a while back, so pleased to have this back on my kit!
