This is a pickup for a specific purpose.
It's not an all rounder. You use this to brighten up dark sounding guitars (it can go some way to make a Les Paul sound like a Gretch or a 'thicker' strat).
It is exceedingly well made and sounds better through a Vox sounding amp.

Like PAF humbucker, full bodied but clearer, use it in a Vintage 335 copy, superb balance and clarity
