Great Replacement for P-Bass Pickups
Andy534 08.03.2015
These were bought to replace a stock set of Fender P-Bass pickups as they suddenly stopped working one day. First thing I noticed was the build quality, it was fantastic (unsurprising as it is a DiMarzio product). They were also incredible easy to install and connect to the electronics inside the guitar.
Once in they give a smooth tone, emphasizing the top and bottom ends with a slight mid cut, making them perfect for the more rocky based genres I play.

insanely loud

great sound in the pickups, but beware, they are extremely loud compared to other pickups I've tried. Make sure to start at a low volume.

Replaced a pair of generic pickups on a knock off P-Bass and I have no complaints. Sound is deeper and richer on the lows and brighter on the highs. With a nice pair of strings it sounds like a bass worth double what I paid. Instructions were clear and the white looks great.

Plenty of Punch for your P
Anonymous 08.04.2015
I bought this several years ago to put in my lowly Squier P and it was like putting an Energizer bunny into it, it has just kept going all this time!

Looks & Sounds fantastic. This is not for whimp bass players;) One very powerful Precision Bass replacement pickup. By the way it's easy to fit as well :)

Changed my modern player Jaguar P-pickups to DP 127. Put aguilar 2 pre-amp in too, now the bugger roars like jaguar should! Not typical P-sound in my opinion, but I play with rotosound flats and they make a difference too. Have not tried with other strings. Aynways, I feel the change was worth the efford and hassle.

Great Replacement for P-Basses
OsBassZen 15.01.2019
You will not go wrong with this pick up if you're a P-Bass fan. Difference with the classic split coil is the fatness. You won't need a compressor, your bass will sound even all around the neck if you tune in standard A440, haven't tried it with on lower tuning.

Coupled with a Göldo Capacitor 47nF, frequency wise it could lack a bit of high end, with a natural sounding low end and a bit pronounced mid range. It is a very quiet pickup - no buzz, Ideal for recording!.

Beware, these are real hot pickups! Really High Output, which in my opinion is a great feature. highly recommended.
