I ordered these for my Yamaha trbx 5 string, for giging and general home play, so far the strings are great for playing with a pick.

They seem a little thick but that is just my inexperience with bass strings. These were the 3rd set I tried.

Normalerweise nutze ich standardmäßig das Daddario EXL165TP set und wollte mal etwas neues probieren.
Der Klang der Saiten ist etwas brillianter als ich es gewöhnt bin, die Saitenspannung sehr angenehm und das Spielgefühl ist gut.
Ich nutze die Saiten auf zwei unterschiedlichen Bässen. Ein Fünfsaiter mit zwei Humbuckern, der mir jetzt fast etwas zu brilliant klingt und einen 4 Saiter mit EMG PH bestückung zudem die Saiten klanglich sehr gut passen.
Angenehm finde ich das die Höhen zwar brilliant aber nicht scharf klingen, wie es bei manchen anderen Saiten der Fall ist wenn diese frisch aufgezogen wurden.
Ob der höhere Preis zu den EXL gerechtfertigt ist und wie langlebig die Saiten sind, wird sich zeigen.
Abschließend kann man das Set aber durchaus weiterempfehlen, wenn man einen Brillianten, klaren, obertonreichen klang beforzugt.
