Perfect tube drive pedal

What can I say about this pedal that the many online reviewers haven't already waxed lyrical about? I already knew this pedal was going to sound outrageously good before purchase as I had done a lot of listening and research because its not the cheapest pedal out there. Well worth every cent though, a simply beautiful sounding drive with loads of possibilities. The EQ alone on this pedal brings out a wild range of tones. The Bias dial is where is really shines in my opinion though, I love to dial it back and get those nasty spitty and synthy sounds. I've since bought a few CTC pedals and they are all the same amazing quality and their customer care is top. (No probs so far with pedals but they are very quick to respond to queries).

What an amazing pedal. So much control on every level. Best pedal I've had so far, and I've had a few. I gave up carrying heavy tube amps long ago, just use one drive pedal and a delay now, and this is one with a tube valve in it ended my search for the perfect sound.

Cette OD à lampe est juste un vrai plaisir. Ayant eu la spindoctor il y a longtemps, je dois dire que cette Vénus la surclasse largement. Le grain et la dynamique sont juste incroyables. J’ai trouvé mon son en 2 ou 3 réglages. Reste à voir dans la durée comment elle se comportera mais pour le moment ce n’est que du plaisir.

Ich habe nie das Vergnügen gehabt, einen originalen BK Butler Tube Driver zu spielen. Daher kann ich auch nicht sagen, ob das Venus an dessen Klang heranreicht. Aber ich kann sagen, dass mir der Sound extrem gut gefällt.

Das Pedal ist m.E. eher weniger für den Low Gain Bereich geeignet. Es liefert den satten, cremigen Sound einer Röhre mit viel Gain.
Der EQ tut seinen Dienst, interessant ist allerdings der Regler für die Höhen. Alles jenseits 13 Uhr ist m.E. kreischend und unbrauchbar, unter 09 Uhr stechen plötzlich die extrem Mitten raus. Auf jeden Fall interessant und es wert, damit ein wenig zu experimentieren.
Über den Bias Regler kommt man vom weichen, runder Klang (max) bis ins Fuzz Territorium (min). Zusammengenommen ergeben sich hier diverse klangliche Nuancen.

Für mich eine absolut gelungene Ergänzung zu meinem bisherigen Equipment. Könnte mein neues Standard Drive Pedal werden.
