Surprisingly Good
Biscuitbag 04.07.2025
I have a few Behringer instruments and am generally happy with their sound and build quality. 2600 x2, Monopoly, K2, some pedals all alongside some treasure vintage stuff. The Lm Drum though is a notch up in terms of build quality, I was not expecting this but it really feels more premium, smoothe faders, nice rubber pads and controls. The sound is spot on. It's a lovely instrument with some innovative features and the ability to sample and does what it says on the tin and very affordable. The software however is a different matter. Crashes immediately when trying to load your own wavs no matter what format or size. Tried on Win and Mac. I have read others complain about the same thing. If loading your own sample libraries is something that matters to you then I would wait to see if they sort that out. Overall, this it a superb instrument and worth the purchase.

Compact Powerhouse with Classic Vibes

The Behringer LM Drum is a fantastic piece of gear! It perfectly captures the vintage LinnDrum vibe with modern reliability. The sound quality is punchy and authentic, the interface is intuitive, and it fits seamlessly into my studio setup. Excellent value for the price — highly recommended for anyone into retro drum machines!

D
What a machine!
Dimivala 08.01.2026
The Behringer Lm drum is a very nice sounding drum machine and the 8, 12 and 16bit DA converter has a character. It has all the functions you need in order to create simple or more complex rhythm sections. Only drawbacks is the quite wobbly knobs and the lack of FXs like a reverb for example. Is very good machine and a well designed clone after all considering its own price.

It makes you want to explore
Martins K. 01.06.2026
The minimalism and limitations of this machine remind me of the early days of computing, when you had to think creatively about how to get things done. It strips everything back to the essence of your ideas and forces you to decide what really matters in what you're trying to express.

At the same time, it comes with a number of thoughtfully designed features that help spark creativity: swing, randomness, hi-hat variation from a single sample, distortion, wild pitch manipulation, and more.

What I love most is that you can simply turn off the computer, pick up the LM Drum, and focus entirely on translating the rhythms in your head into beats using nothing but your fingers and this wonderfully limited instrument.
